Why the room exists

The beer is still the point.

Clifford started with Brad Clifford's award-winning Porter and grew into a rotating twelve-tap lineup built around traditional styles, local favourites and one-offs.

  • Clifford Porter — the signature dark, roasted beer that helped put Clifford on the map.
  • Pinball Wizard APA — citrus, pine and tropical hop character.
  • East Hamilton — the neighbourhood is in the name and in the brewery's identity.

Music

Friday and Saturday nights regularly turn the room into a stage, with Sunday matinees and special shows woven through the calendar.

Pinball

The machines keep rotating. Thursday happy-hour culture includes free pinball plays and the kind of competitive nonsense a taproom ought to have.

Food, your way

There is no kitchen. Bring your own food, have something delivered, or catch one of the food partners and pop-ups that join event nights.

Dogs + patio

Leashed dogs are welcome, and the seasonal patio opens the room outward when Hamilton weather cooperates.

  1. 2009Brad starts homebrewing and winning amateur competitions.
  2. 2015Clifford Brewing becomes a licensed Ontario manufacturer; Porter heads into bars and restaurants.
  3. 2017The Nash Road brewery takes shape in a 10,000 sq ft East Hamilton warehouse.
  4. 2018The taproom and retail store open.
  5. 2019Clifford wins Canadian Brewery of the Year.
